CPRE Cheshire is concerned about the impact of advertisements on the countryside and it is important that if covered under other policies it is given sufficient prominence e.g. with its own sub-heading and link effectively with national policy. NB It is also imperative that the Council adequately enforce against advertisements which cause harm to amenity or safety, such as the current rash of horrible lorry trailer advertisements alongside the M6.
