I choose option A - to retain the green belt. The green belt is what helps to make the village what it is, housing, schools and small business’s mixed in a rural and agricultural setting. To build upon this land in a significant way would have a negative impact on the village.

In respect of question SS 11 in the report my preference would be Option B. This enables development to follow the existing neighbourhood plan which has been developed with much care and thought.
Option B - Follow current Local Plan level and distribution of development

Too much land is being taken over by house building, this is happening all over the country, thousands of new houses have been built within Mid-Cheshire over the last 5 years yet nothing is done about the infrastructure, i.e schools, hospitals, Doctors, Dentist, roads are falling apart, Councils are getting more money not only due to the Council Tax going up but also the number of new house yet the service we are getting is less and less.

I strongly support Option A – Retain the Green Belt, as the infrastructure in and around Chester simply cannot support large-scale new housing developments on Green Belt land. The city is unique in its geography and road network, but this also limits its ability to expand responsibly. The presence of major motorways and a fragile road system, combined with low-capacity bridges and small, historic streets, means the system is already at its limit. Additional car journeys from thousands of new homes will exacerbate congestion, increase pollution, and reduce quality of life for residents.

I’m writing in response to the consultation document and am specifically answering question SS 11 and confirming that my answer is: Option A - Retain the Green Belt I do not believe the village [Barnton] has the infrastructure to support so many new homes specifically: A would like to see our green spaces and the character of the village preserved. Potholed roads which would be too small for works vehicles or addition traffic due to a development which would make their state even worse. Insufficient bridge access at the bottom of Soot Hill to support additional traffic heading to Northwich. Insufficient Schooling capacity. Insufficient GP services.

I am emailing my views because your online consultation form is extremely poor and not user friendly. Why are these potentially substantial changes not more widely advertised either? Speaking to neighbours and family living in Vicars Cross, they had zero knowledge of this consultation. Regarding the Local Plan, specifically the "spatial strategy options" - I support "Option A - Retain the Green belt".

Therefore, if we have to have any new housing around CuddingtonI would prefer Option A - Retain The Green Belt. Therefore building on CUD02 and CUD03. Although this still has issues with the land being primarily green and causing urban sprawl.

Of these, I support Option A – Retain the Green Belt, because it protects rural character greatly appreciated by walkers, cyclists, (The Sandstone Trail), and why people have chosen to live here. It is safe and secure, away from noise pollution, air pollution and an area of low crime. Property prices are reflected in this and it is more expensive to live in this area and therefore may not suit rehousing of people from a city or urban areas who are used to a lot of facilities being on hand and where you need to run a car. At present the bus service is 1 bus a week to 1 destination. It would totally change the area and bring in people who may not be able to cope without shops, doctors, transport links, where the nearest hospital is 16 miles away. I do not support Option B or C because it risks overdevelopment in sensitive areas, increases car dependency and lacks supporting services.
