I wish to make my representation on Question SS 11 . My clear preference is: Option A – Retain the Green Belt. I strongly believe the Green Belt should remain protected. It provides vital environmental, recreational, and community benefits, and its preservation is essential for maintaining the character and sustainability of our local area.

The most appropriate spatial strategies for CW&C are Options B and C above. For the reasons outlined above, namely, to ensure the Plan is ambitious and plans to deliver sufficient housing, Option A should be discounted, as retaining the current Green Belt extent would restrict realistic opportunities to deliver sustainable development in appropriate locations in the District. In order to deliver at least 1,928 new homes per year, the Council will need to assess land that is currently within the Green Belt for its potential to deliver sustainable residential development. While Savills recognises the prioritisation of previously developed land for housing development, there is not a sufficient supply of available previously developed land in urban areas that is capable of accommodating the housing requirement within the Plan period.

Hi All, Are you aware of the plans to build loads of houses on green belt land in Parkgate and Neston? Locals are being asked to email the council and vote against the proposed plans. The email has to be received by this Friday, 29th August. I’ve just sent an email to the council. I have done a template for anyone else who would like to send one; which I’m sharing below: You need to put your name and address at the top and email to: planningpolicy@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to express my strong opposition to the proposed large-scale development on Green Belt land in and around Neston and Parkgate. Why is option A retain the greenbelt marled n/a? It's not an option so we just go ahead and build all over it? I want this option and I do not want options B, The other thing I will say is that there are a huge number of complex papers attached to this, masses of questions and the Council expects ordinary residents a) to have the time to read through thousands of pages and b) respond to dozens and dozens of questions which can only be done by signing into a portal. Clearly the Council tried to make this as difficult as possible. The bottom line is this, stop building on greenbelt and greenfield sites, prioritise brownfield sites, stop allowing developers to build on unsuitable land eg flood risk areas because they don't address the issues properly and it causes mayhem for residents and the developers don't care as long as they make a profit. Not to mention the disruption and noise and intrusion for residents again which no one cares about.

It is Horizon’s view that Option C is the most appropriate spatial strategy for Cheshire West and Chester, as it allows for the delivery of development within strategic and accessible locations across the borough. Concentrating growth in these areas ensures new development is well connected to employment, education, and services, while reducing reliance on private cars and encouraging more sustainable patterns of movement. Horizon support the approach outlined in Option C which is proactive in recognising the need for sites being released from the Green Belt to deliver development in sustainable locations. In the case of Hooton, Horizon support the acknowledgement that there is an opportunity for an enhanced role of land around the train station and for development to be appropriate to the scale and function of the settlement.

My answer is OPTION A - RETAIN THE GREENBELT" there has been a huge decline in wildlife around where I am. The whole stretch from us to the main road is currently being threatened which would take everyone living here from having green space and fields we use for dog walking to being basically in the middle of an extended housing estate, and pretty much cut off the donkey sanctuary and local horse livery from the countryside.

I believe there is a proposal to build on the green belt in Northwich . In regards to question SS 11 , i strongly prefer option A which is to preserve the existing green belt area . Wildlife is under great pressure in this area . We have protect species such as newts and bats , badgers and hedgehogs residing in these fields , hedgerows and trees . We have large populations of wild bees in our area providing vital pollination Also all wild birds are protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, including their nests and eggs. Winnington estate and the new solar farm are all ready challenging the roads infrastructure. Particularly Winnington Bridge . There are a distinct lack of schools , dentists and doctors in the area to cope with an ever increasing population. There will be noise , traffic and environmental pollution created from the building site and the increased numbers of homes . Please don’t allow are Greenbelts to be destroyed- we need them for our future , our food and our oxygen.

The Local Plan (Part One) was adopted in January 2015, which is more than 10 years ago. Since that time, national policy in relation to Green Belt has changed substantially. The most recent version of the NPPF requires local authorities to make plans to meet their local housing need (standard method figure) in full. This requirement stems from the Government’s commitment to significantly bolster the delivery of homes and speed up planning in order to deliver 1.5 million new homes over the next Parliament. In order to deliver at least 1,928 new homes per year, the Council will need to assess land that is currently within the Green Belt for its potential to deliver sustainable residential development. In doing so, the Council should first consider the most sustainable locations that are adjacent to existing facilities, services and transport options. While Savills recognises the prioritisation of previously developed land for housing development, there is not a sufficient supply of available previously developed land in urban areas that is capable of accommodating the housing requirement within the Plan period.

Good afternoon My name is XXX I'm emailing to object to the building of more houses on green belt land in and around Northwich. And would like to voice my opinion for Option A question SS11 as this has the least impact on our very precious green belt. Barnton Weaverham do not have the facilities to cope with even more new builds after the Winnington estate was built with no infrastructure, getting into the doctors dentist has been a nightmare on top of not enough schools in the area to support another influx of people. The bridge going into Winnington from Barnton and visversa was not designed for all this extra traffic and the large vehicles traveling through.

The Site could come forward under any of Options A, B or C above. The Site is not located within the Green Belt and is in a sustainable location nearby to facilities in the existing settlement and local transport options. Notwithstanding that the Site could come forward under Option A, it is considered that the Council will still need to consider sites that are currently within the Green Belt in order to ensure sufficient land can come forward to meet the local housing requirement. Therefore, Options B and C are considered to be most appropriate to plan for a sustainable pattern of development in the District.
